Eng. Bassem Essam
Communication Chair
Bassem Essam is an HVAC Design Engineer at PGESCO. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical Power Engineering from Cairo University in 2023.
His involvement with ASHRAE started in 2021 as an ASHAE Student where he earned #2 at ASHRAE RAL Regional Competition & Qualified to the regional level for ASHRAE HVAC Design Competition while leading as ASHRAE Cairo University Student Branch President in 2023.
Being a young achiever and with a bright career ahead, Eng. Bassem is currently appointed as Cairo Chapter Student Activities Co-Chair and Communication Chair.
Eng. Hossam Abdelkader
Communication Co-Chair
Graduating from Matariyeh Engineering University in 2001. Eng. Hossam built his career in programing and became one of the First Five Egyptians to earn Macromedia Flash Developer certification in 2002. Later on, he earned his Master of Science in information systems from Harding University, US.
From web applications developer and lecturer at DGX Academy to marketing at Tiba Manzalawi Group and later he joined Elsewedy Arab Cables factory where he served in the sales. Currently Eng. Hossam is the Information System director and Marketing Director at Delta DCM.
His role with ASHRAE Cairo Chapter began in 2014 as a webmaster and later joined different positions and committees to end up as a member of the board of Governers with 22 years of combined market and carer experience.
The Communications Committee identifies the communication, collaboration and training needs for membership groups, recommends and maintains policies, and ensures that the implementation of information technologies meets the objectives and needs of the Society.

We monitor and operate ASHRAE Cairo Chapter's website and career portal, ensuring smooth operation and reliability.
Meetings
We manage the chapter meetings, make use of the latest technologies to enhance our meetings and develop.

ASHRAE Cairo Chapter website was developed and launched in 2025 by the Communications Committee Chair, Eng. Bassem Essam.

Cairo Chapter Career Portal was developed and launched in 2025 by the Communications Committee Co-Chair, Eng. Hossam Abdelkader.
The work and effort put into the development and launch of ASHRAE Cairo Chapter Website and Cairo Chapter Career Portal within a tight timeframe is remarkable and is perceived an ideal example of the dedication of ASHRAE Cairo Chapter’s members towards the society’s benefit.
